Who Qualifies To Get A Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application process.

Applications are now open and may close on fifteen December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should meet the subsequent criteria:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a home using a combined gross home income that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.

• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined residence revenue will not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and need not submit any evidence of income.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.

Applicants are reminded to supply the proper Id Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected within their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds individuals who are finding out or plan to research in click here a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait nsfas status until the last day.
